Description
Manufactured by Thinkway to coincide with the released of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace in 1999, three electronic “Interactive Talking Banks”.

Each bank is a completely separate unit (standing 30cm tall x 26 cm wide x 21cm deep) depicting one of the three principle characters from the movie: Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Maul.

Powered by 6 AA batteries (each), the money banks have four “interactive” modes:

1) Individual Play - deposit a coin or press the activity button for voice and action responses. Each bank has a series of different voice recordings, and character movements that play out when money is put into the bank, or the activity button is used.

2) After “mode 1” activation, wave your hand in a circular motion in front of a bank to execute different actions – the bank detects the movement and speaks or moves in response.

3) 2 Banks Interactive Combat - connect 2 banks and get a unique interactive play feature. Any 2 banks can be tethered together, and will co-ordinate their voice and movement actions with one another.

4) 3 Banks Ultimate Combat – connect all 3 banks and activate “mode 1” for a truly impressive 3-way combat display. When all 3 banks are tethered, the characters have an awareness of one another and generate responses in reaction to the movements and voice messages of the others.

Owned from new, each bank is stored in its original packaging and in very good condition. All of the banks are fitted with batteries (unknown how much charge remains) and in fully-working order.
The boxes have some superficial wear (also the top of one box is a little sun bleached, and the clear plastic front panel of the same box is loose at the lower-right corner) but are complete and otherwise undamaged.
