Some folk like this bird... Others don't. The Cormorant Poster set on A4 mounted card, cries out for a frame.
The signed poster only available from myself: Author/Illustrator of the piece. The price includes post/packing.
Under the drawing first published in Words on the Wing the words are:
To those that dislike it... It mocks.
A defiant bird eyeballs the world. Whilst posing on a rock.
The cormorant fans out its wings to dry itself.
Its head held high as it thinks about fishing.
The bird takes a moment to reflect.... And being shot by fishermen if it's found poaching.
So it dreams of the fish coming in with the tide.
Then the bird's stance just died. With a touch of class a head drops on its slender neck, as the cormorant plunges into the sea, gliding under the water. Fish are lured by the 'flash' of the hoary back of the bird's head, which catches the light as the cormorant zig-zags in search of prey.
Finally, emerging with its prized catch.
Whereupon, it's devoured.... As it mocks.
