This is a very rare vintage hand painted Italian cabinet made of very strong steel. Shaped like a pile of old books and decorated equally well on all sides. It is about 2 feet high. It makes an elegant side table and has the bonus of being a deep storage area inside. The cover of the top book is the lid.
Only a few of these cabinets were manufactured by a named Italian designer. The last one that came on the web market was years ago and it sold for $900. I bought this item in Harrods in the 1960s.
I am only selling this item as I am moving abroad and have to downsize my stuff. It is very heavy so needs to be picked up.
