I have a matched pair of early 1930’s deco period oak chairs
They are constructed in white european oak and finished in a light oak colour. They are of very solid quality construction, with a stretcher across the legs with dowelled and pegged joints - none of which are loose
The styling is very much deco, with solid oak backs that have been steam bent (not plywood) as would be the case on an lesser quality chair, with ‘skyline’ profile. The arms are gently curved and provide comfortable elbow support, and the back is well placed for comfort and good support, even if sitting for hours. The legs are tapered from the base and have nice detailing as they join the back. The seats are with their original mid brown lightly patinated leatherette, and being drop in seats could easily be recovered by a competent DIYer to match you existing decor
I have been using these as both occasional and spare dining/kitchen chairs and out side on the decking in the summer, would also make nice bedroom chairs.

ALSO the last two pictures feature a Edwardian cartouche lamp table with a 'antique' white paint finish - this I am selling separately, but would make a very nice match to the chairs

I am looking to sell these are a pair, as it would be a shame to split them, however I would be prepared to sell them separately at £17 each
I am very reluctantly having to sell these due to downsizing - I do have two pairs - one of which i can find room for and will be retaining for myself.
