This is the fully loaded BAT VK-D5SE 24-bit CD player with Super Tube output stages and 24-bit DAC chips. It was originally a VK-D5 that has been factory-upgraded to the 24-bit DAC section and SE package. We have just installed a set of four brand new Russian 6H30 tubes. The unit is in very good condition, but we are rating it 8/10 mainly for age.

The VK-D5SE 24-bit is a current model. It has been one of the best CD player with tube output stage for many years now, easily 90-95% as good as the Audio Research Reference CD8. No reason for us to lie because we also have an ARC CD8 for sale.
