The Lifestyle 48 has a "multi-region" DVD Player which plays all nationality formats, and play DVD/CD/CDR/CDRW/VCD/PCD/MP3/Mpeg2 and Digital 5.1 at the touch of a button, it can also store up to 360 CD's on its in built Hard Drive, and produces an astonishing Quality and Clarity of sound at both maximum and minimum volume. -Speakers-

4 Bose "Jewel Cubes" and the matching horizontal Centre Speaker. Jewel Cubes measure 11cm x 5.5cm and are the smallest in the Bose range, these are chique, sleek and extremely stylish, can be shelf or wall mounted, and with each speaker being 2 individual speakers mounted one on top of the other, and with their unique "swivel action" the sound can be directed to every corner of your room, this is equivelant to having 10 individual speakers pointing to where you want them!.

-Media Centre-

The "Heart and Soul" of the system, and approximately the size of a VHS Recorder, weighs in at a hefty 10lbs, and is packed with technology, from its progressive scan DVD/CD Player to its built Hard Drive and the Bose Umusic System it gives complete and simple control of your music collection (pack away those CDs once downloaded). -Acoustimass Module-

Commonly known as the Subwoofer, (approx the size of a PC Tower) this unit produces "Rich" and "Deep" base without distortion even at maximum volume, and distributes the sound to the Jewel Cubes. It may be large but it can be tucked away out of sight, and the sound produced seems to come from all around you.



-VS-2 Video Enhancer-

The VS-2 is what makes this system a Series 4 and not a Series 3, it adds HDMI inputs and outputs to your Lifestyle, and with "one-touch" simplicity it delivers easy access to audio & video from each of your video sources, such as VCR/PVR/Cable/Sat and other video devices, and it also supports NTSC & PAL, and automatically outputs the correct format.



-Remote Control-

This is a "Radio Frequency" remote, as opposed to an "Infra Red", and consequently gives complete control of the system, even "through walls" it does not require "line of sight" (no more shouting, "Get out of the way you are blocking the remote"!)



-Power Pack-

As the Media Centre & VS-2 are powered by 33v dc, the Power Pack converts the mains voltage to this level, the Subwoofer operates on 240v ac.
