ACE CYCLING SUNGLASSES
The all-new, top-of-the-range Ace sunglasses for cycling have been specifically designed and manufactured with cyclists in mind, although they are also superb for shooting, running and many other sports too. As with most Rapid Eyewear sport sunglasses, a key feature is the interchangeable lenses supplied as standard, and these are as follows: Clear, for when a tint isn't required but you still need to keep the wind and dirt out; Yellow (category 0) low light - these enhance light and definition; Beige, polarised (category 2, glare reducing) average sunlight; Dark polarised mirror (category 3, glare reducing), bright sunlight.
THE FRAMES
Light in weight and wrap-around in style, the high quality TR90 Ace sports frame is made from the very best composite materials and will withstand just about anything you want to throw at it. Rubber side arm extensions and nose pads makes for a comfortable fit, as does the slight frame flex that allows the sunglasses to 'mould' themselves to your head shape. A nice feature of the Ace is the adjustable nose clip, which can be widened or narrowed to fit your nose perfectly. Finished in an attractive crystalised blue colour, the Ace will not only perform well - they look great, too.
THE LENSES
All four sets of lenses are made from a tough polycarbonate; they are finished with an anti-scratch coating, and are decentred to calibrate the light treatment such that you do not suffer distortion from the curvature. In addition, they are all 100% UVA / UVB protected - including the clear tint - in line with European regulation EN1836 for safety eyewear. The Category 2 and Category 3 lenses are polarised, providing a superb anti-glare capability which of course is important on the road.
THE PACKAGE
Apart from the lenses, Ace come supplied with a hard carry case, which has internal pouches for the extra lenses and belt fixing loops / clips, a head securing strap and a lint-free cleaning cloth.
